Salesforce.com Partners With D&B, Creates Data.com To Streamline Information Accessibility Print E-mail

recently announced a partnership with Dun & Bradstreet, a commercial information and business insight provider, to create Data.com. The partnership is focused on enables Salesforce customers to access information from D&B and contact information from Jigsaw directly from Salesforce.

Given the critical importance of data cleanliness for BtoB organizations, the goal of the partnership is to improve data quality and aggregate the best sources of data online, according to Brett Queener, EVP & General Manager, Jigsaw Data Cloud at Salesforce.com.

D&B which provides business information for more than 200 million companies, will be available via Salesforce CRM, offering customers the ability to search new opportunities, enhance speed cycles, increase sales and expand their customer bases. In turn, Salesforce customers will be able to utilize Data.com to segment marketing campaigns, create a targets pipeline directly within Salesforce CRM.

"This announcement from salesforce.com and D&B simplifies the process of gathering quality company information, allowing businesses to bolster their effectiveness and improve productivity across sales and marketing."

 According to Queener, Salesforce customers can leverage a set of native utilities within the system to share insight into existing data, and avoid duplication within databases.

Currently, Data.com is accessible with information via Jigsaw. The company information from D&B is expected to be available later this year along with pricing and packaging options.
