HubSpot Acquires Kemvi To Incorporate AI Into CRM Platform

Published: July 25, 2017

1hubspotHubSpot has announced that it has acquired Kemvi, a startup supplying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning capabilities designed to help sales reps improve relationships with potential customers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hubspot plans to incorporate Kemvi’s proprietary algorithm technology, dubbed DeepGraph, into its CRM platform. DeepGraph is designed to sift through millions of pieces of content — including websites, press releases, blog posts and SEC filings — to gain insight into buyers and prospects on a daily basis, and then deliver that information to sales reps. The system can also help identify new prospects, provide suggestions for creating personalized emails and identify new market segments.

“Today’s consumers expect a personalized experience throughout the buying process, meaning that the modern salesperson needs to spend valuable time conducting research and tailoring each interaction with that buyer,” said Brian Halligan, Co-Founder and CEO of HubSpot, in a statement. “Kemvi’s DeepGraph technology gives salespeople that added boost to better connect with their prospects and close the deal without getting bogged down in time-consuming tasks. We’re excited to bring this technology into the HubSpot ecosystem, and look forward to working with the Kemvi team to build even more tools to empower the modern salesperson.”
