SugarCRM Takes On Marketing Automation With Salesfusion Acquisition

Published: May 17, 2019

SugarCRM, a customer relationship management software company, has acquired Salesfusion, a marketing automation platform. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition is designed to add marketing automation capabilities to SugarCRM’s platform to help B2B companies improve customer experiences and gain better insights into the entire buyer’s journey. It marks SugarCRM’s second acquisition in three months. The company acquired Collabspot, a sales engagement email platform, in March.

SugarCRM CEO Craig Charlton told TechCrunch that the company plans to continue its rapid growth and there may be two or three more acquisitions on the horizon in the next quarter alone.

“These acquisitions combined with our new product innovations clearly demonstrate that Sugar is on a solid growth path and strategically evolving our business every day,” said Charlton in a statement. “This is just the beginning of many more game-changing announcements that will dramatically transform our company for employees, customers, partners and the industry.”
