Twitter Partners With IBM To Blend Social Data With Cloud-Based Services

Twitter and IBM announced a partnership that is intended to combine Twitter data and IBM’s cloud-based analytics, customer engagement platforms and consulting services.

“IBM brings a unique combination of cloud-based analytics solutions and a global services team that can help companies utilize this truly unique data,” said Chris Moody, VP of Twitter Data Strategy.

Twitter and IBM announced a partnership that is intended to combine Twitter data and IBM’s cloud-based analytics, customer engagement platforms and consulting services.

The partnership aims to accomplish three tasks:

  • Integrate Twitter data with IBM analytics services in the cloud, which users can then leverage to make more effective business decisions with accurate information on prospects, markets and trends;
  • Deliver a set of enterprise applications, including a solution designed to integrate Twitter data with IBM ExperienceOne customer engagement solutions that is designed to help B2B marketers map buyer behavior for better engagement; and
  • Provide Twitter data to IBM Global Business Services professionals, a move positioned to help enhance client effectiveness and productivity..
