SAP Partners With Mocana To Enhance Mobile Security

SAPMocanaIn an effort to address mobile security concern when enterprise systems are being accessed remotely, SAP has announced a partnership with Mocana to rebrand the Mocana Mobile App Protection as the SAP Mobile App Protection.

The security solution allows clients to modify usage and security policies on iOS and Android apps without coding, according to company officials. The announcement was made at the SAPPHIRE NOW conference in Orlando, Fla.

Reseller View Mobile extends enterprise-class partner portals so that channel partners now have access to the tools needed to more effectively sell products, provide service, and support their customers from any location, according to company officials. The solution is compatible with most mobile browsers, is immediately available and does not require users to update their mobile devices.

Salesforce Chatter Gets Mobile, Social Enhancements

Salesforce ChatterWith the latest version of the Chatter collaboration tool from Salesforce.com, users will be able to access, create and act on customer information in the Chatter feed, from any mobile device.

With the new Chatter, mobile will be able to:

  • Access all customer information stored inside Salesforce including customer accounts, campaigns, cases, leads, opportunities and custom apps built on top of the Salesforce Platform. Users can get real-time updates such as a quote approval, service inquiry or social conversation;
  • Create and edit information and notifications from the new publisher that lets users seamlessly scroll through a variety of actions including files, photos, polls, and tasks; and
  • Act on updates around contacts, accounts, opportunities, campaigns and custom records directly from the feed.

Silverpop Launches Advanced Mobile Messaging Capabilities

Silverpop partnered with Velti, a provider of mobile marketing and advertising technology, to develop these mobile features. MobileWhen it comes to consumer behavior and business marketing on mobile devices, the growth stats are always staggering. Here’s one of the latest, from Pew Internet: 87% of smartphone owners check the Internet or email on their phones, including 68% who do so every day and 25% who say they "mostly go online using their phone, rather than with a computer."

That last number is an important one. “Rather than with a computer” shows that consumer behavior is on a fast track to be the dominant, rather than secondary, content-consumption screen.
