Experian Explores Plan To Sell Email, Cross-Channel Marketing Business

Published: November 9, 2016

1experianExperian, a credit services and marketing services company, announced it plans to divest its email and cross-channel marketing businesses, according to reports.

Experian’s email and cross-channel marketing businesses are the largest in its Marketing Services division, and includes services such as social media integration, web display ads, mobile optimization and customer targeting data.

The news follows the release of Experian’s financial report for the six months to Sept. 30, 2016, where the company earned $2.23 billion in revenue and experienced 5% organic revenue growth.

“Our email and cross-channel marketing business has improved considerably in the past 18 months with significant new client wins, resulting in strong revenue growth in the new cross-channel marketing platform,” the company said in a statement. “However, we see fewer synergies between email [and] cross-channel marketing and the rest of the group than for other parts of our business, and so we are commencing a divestment process for the business.”
