Talkdesk, a cloud contact center for sales and support teams, announced the hiring of Kathie Johnson as its first CMO. She will be tasked with the development and execution of the company’s marketing strategy and will report directly to Talkdesk CEO Tiago Paiva.
Prior to joining Talkdesk, Johnson held a variety of senior-level marketing positions at companies such as Dassault Systèmes, ENOVIA MAtrixOne and Vicor Corporation. Most recently, Johnson was the SVP of Marketing at Salesforce.
The company stated that Johnson will oversee all aspects of the company’s global corporate marketing, product marketing and corporate communications to strengthen and raise awareness of the Talkdesk brand.

Part of the excitement of stepping into a new CMO role is being able to assess a situation, build a plan and then execute against it,” Johnson said in a statement to Demand Gen Report. “My focus is on building a comprehensive global marketing strategy, plan and team to help Talkdesk grow exponentially within this $25B+ market.
