Salesforce.com Launches Social.com

Salesforce.com launched Social.com, a service that allows users to advertise on Facebook and Twitter using real-time customer and social listening data. Social.com is the latest addition to the Salesforce Marketing Cloud, which includes Radian6 and Buddy Media. Fifty five of the Fortune 100 and eight of the top 10 global advertisers are current clients of Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

 “Today salesforce.com is doubling down on social ads,” said Michael Lazerow, CMO of Salesforce Marketing Cloud at Salesforce.com. “Social ads cannot be disconnected from your business.”

According to BIA Kelsey, marketers have spent $4.7 billion on social advertising in 2012, projected to reach $11 billion by 2017. Nielsen reported that 64% of marketers are planning to increase their social advertising spending in 2013.

  • Build, test and launch social ad campaigns to scale, reaching consumers over a range of devices;
  • Track and analyze metrics over time with live campaign monitoring and immediate feedback from ad performance; and
  • Automate social ad campaigns.

    Social.com is scheduled to unlock all of its features by Q2 2013. User fees are based off a percentage of total social ad made through the application.
