Salesfusion Receives $5M In Funding, Names O’Kelley CEO

Salesfusion logo newSalesfusion, a marketing automation and email marketing platform provider, recently named Carol O’Kelley as its CEO and received an additional $5 million in funding. The latest investment, which follows $8 million in Series B funding in January, brings the company's overall funding total to approximately $23 million.

"This funding is a great opportunity for the company, as well as our customers," said O'Kelley in an interview with Demand Gen Report. "The funding will be used to build our customer support system and accelerate product innovation, allowing current and future customers to obtain future ahead of schedule."

Salesfusion Partners With Three SugarCRM VARs

salesfusion logo1Salesfusion has entered into partnerships with three SugarCRM VARs in a move designed to further expand the user base for its marketing automation platform. Epicom, based in Austin, Highland Solutions, based in Chicago, and Synolia of Lyon, France, will offer and promote Salesfusion to thousands of SugarCRM customers worldwide.

Salesfusion began targeting SugarCRM customers in 2012 and many clients, including Pingtone, Medicat and Delmo, use the joint solution today, according to Bentley Hines, VP of Alliances at Salesfusion.

Survey: More Than Half Of Companies Report Lead Generation Efforts Falling Short

Research stock imageMore than half (58%) of companies find that their lead generation efforts are falling short, according to a lead generation survey conducted by Demand Metric and released by Salesfusion.

The online survey was based on more than 200 responses from small and mid-size companies. The study also highlights that the most common approaches for generating leads included email marketing (78%), tradeshow or event marketing (73%), and content marketing (67%).

Can A “Freemium” Strategy Work For B2B Marketing Automation Vendors?

There have been two recent acquisition announcements in the B2B marketing automation space: LoopFuse by Salesfusion and LeadRocket/Genius by CallidusCloud, which owns LeadFormix. Both of the acquired vendors had bright prospects at one time but fell by the wayside. Interestingly, both pursued a “freemium” strategy of offering their system for free to users with small databases.

Salesfusion Buys LoopFuse To Fuel Mid-Market Growth

salesfusion loopfuseSalesfusion acquired LoopFuse, a sales and marketing automation software provider, for an undisclosed fee. The acquisition aims to promote further growth by Salesfusion in the mid-market business.

The purchase of LoopFuse will allow Salesfusion to integrate social media publishing and monitoring tools directly into the Salesfusion suite. The combined technologies will offer Salesfusion customers social listening, publishing and nurturing tools, along with predictive analytics.

Salesfusion Raises $8.25M In Funding

salesfusion logo1Marketing automation vendor Salesfusion received $8.25 million in Series B backing to continue the growth it experienced in 2013, when the company more than doubled its revenue and gross profits. The funding also will be used to build a new headquarters in Atlanta.
