Hopin Acquires Attendify To Expand Event Management Suite

Hopin, an event technology platform, acquired virtual event platform Attendify to help users optimize their event planning, creation, management and promotion by collecting relevant attendee data to increase engagement.

Hopin is a U.K.-based platform that’s designed to help event marketers recreate in-person buying experiences via virtual events. The company offers live video, breakout session and chat tools to help users increase attendee engagement.

The acquisition will give Hopin users access to Attendify’s audience engagement tools to help deepen their relationship with attendees and further increase engagement. Later this year, Hopin will integrate Attendify’s tools into its Hopin Events offering as:

  • Audience CRM, an attendee data platform designed to collect and identify intent signals, providing users with a 360-degree view of their event engagement for easier management and insights to inform future events or marketing programs; and
  • Campaign Manager, an email communication tool that allows event marketers to connect with attendees during and after the registration period to nurture interactions.

“Our ambition is to build a unified product suite that delivers everything event professionals need to plan, produce and promote events from beginning to end,” wrote Dhruv Kumar, Creative Technologist at Hopin, in a blog post. “With the acquisition of Attendify, our goal is to empower event managers to reach the broadest possible audiences for their events and sustain those valuable brand-audience relationships well beyond events.”
