Digital Pi, an agency focused on marketing automation consulting services in the B2B sector, has been acquired by the Dentsu Aegis Network, a global agency network. Digital Pi will join Merkle, a data-driven performance marketing agency, as an extension of its B2B business.
The acquisition aims to create a fundamental cornerstone of B2B agency solutions. Some ways in which Digital Pi’s marketing technology expertise benefits Merkle include:
- Support of Merkle’s people-based marketing and enterprise solutions through Digital Pi’s data-driven services; and
- Expansion of Merkle’s omnichannel engagement solutions through Digital Pi’s capabilities in marketing automation, campaign operations and Adobe Marketo.
“Digital Pi will be a key player in our expansion throughout the new decade,” said Craig Dempster, President of Merkle Americas, in a statement. “Digital Pi’s B2B consulting capabilities will strengthen our existing relationships and open doors to new opportunities for Merkle.”
Digital Pi’s 50 employees will join Merkle, and Ryan Vong, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Digital Pi, will report directly to Global CEO Michael McLaren.
“Merkle is the ideal partner for us,” said Vong in a statement. “Digital Pi brings industry-leading marketing automation consulting expertise and a proven track record of helping hundreds of Adobe Marketo Engage customers to achieve success.”
