Glance Unveils New Chatter Feature To Connect Team Members

Published: June 19, 2011

The service is designed to automatically post updates at the start of a demo,
online presentation or remote support session. The notification
includes a link to the session, which Chatter users can click to join from
any computer, smartphone or other mobile device. The solution is designed to help organizations facilitate swift communication.

“People understand the great potential of Chatter,” said Tom Scontras, VP of Sales & Marketing, Glance. “We are extending that value by informing the right people at the right time that an event is taking place.  And now they can join those conversations -instantly.”

Glance provides screen-sharing technology integrated with customer-facing applications, such as Salesforce, to help companies measurably improve sales and service interactions.

In May 2011, Glace Networks discussed the impact of social and business networks have on the future of BtoB sales and marketing in a blog post. The company mentioned three shifts already in play which represent the beginning of the BtoB revolution: the rise of “social selling,” the effect mobility creates between work-home boundaries and empowering “Gen Y” and “Gen Z” within the workplace as buyer and seller.
