Published: June 8, 2021

Bizzabo, an event platform, acquired artificial intelligence scheduling tool x.ai. Bizzabo will integrate x.ai’s meeting automation capabilities into its platform to help event participants create connections at virtual, in-person and hybrid events.

This announcement comes off the heels of Bizzabo’s recent acquisition of Whalebone, providing more tools for users to improve the impact of their virtual and in-person events. Bizzabo’s acquisition of x.ai also aligns with the goal behind the launch of Bizzabo’s global platform, building stronger relationships with its clients through new innovations.

The integration of x.ai into the Bizzabo platform will provide users with:

  • A Meeting Scheduler that encourages attendees to network one-on-one with sponsors or peers in-person or virtually;
  • Bizzabo For Exhibitors, which identifies and engages presenters’ most relevant customers; and
  • A Smart Recommendations tool that helps personalize attendees’ event experience with relevant content that fits their preferences.

“Personalized event experiences allow attendees to learn and share knowledge and, more importantly, build meaningful connections,” said Eran Ben-Shushan, Co-Founder & CEO of Bizzabo, in a statement. “As professional events are being redefined with hybrid experiences, we wanted to find the best scheduling engine in the market to support these new generation events. And it’s not just about meetings, there is a massive demand for personalization and matchmaking at events, and x.ai will serve as the technological AI backbone to do exactly that.Our goal with this acquisition is to leverage x.ai’s unique AI technology and talent to make every event of 5,000 people feel like 5,000 different experiences.”
