Published: October 2, 2017

DoubleDutch, a live event marketing platform, announced it has acquired Eventgrid, an event registration provider. The acquisition will expand DoubleDutch’s offering into a full-fledged event marketing and attendee management system, according to the company.

DoubleDutch also announced the promotion of COO Bryan Parker to CEO. Lawrence Coburn, the company’s current CEO and Co-founder, will now serve as Chief Strategy Officer. He will focus on product strategy and the launch of the new Eventgrid + DoubleDutch platform.

With the addition of Eventgrind, DoubleDutch customers will be able to promote their event, register and engage attendees and capture actionable behavioral signals before, during and after their live events. Founded in 2013, Eventgrid was designed to provide companies with an easy way to set up online registration and ticketing for conferences, seminars and other live events.

“Acquiring Eventgrid propels DoubleDutch into a new class of event technology as we bring together a modern mobile event app and a dynamic event registration and promotion system,” said Parker in a statement. “The Eventgrid team is a natural complement to DoubleDutch, sharing a deep commitment to accessible and elegant design. I look forward to delivering a system that combines the ease of consumer-grade software with the scalability, security, and stability of the enterprise to event professionals.”
