Marketo announced that its CMO, Sanjay Dholakia, has left the company. The company also said that Chandar Pattabhiram, the company’s Group VP of Marketing, will replace Dholakia as SVP and CMO. Pattabhiram will report to CEO Phil Fernandez and sit on Marketo’s executive staff.
HubSpot CMO Mike Volpe and VP of Content Joe Chernov have departed after an internal review revealed that they violated the company's business conduct and ethics policies.
Kipp Bodnar, the company's VP of Marketing, was named as the new CMO effective immediately. Bodnar will continue to report to JD Sherman, HubSpot's President and COO, and will continue to manage the company's global inbound marketing and demand generation initiatives.
An independent review overseen by the company's Board of Directors determined that Volpe and Chernov attempted to obtain a draft of a book being written about the company. In a statement, HubSpot officials noted that Chernov resigned from his position prior to a decision to terminate his employment.
"We are disappointed by the actions of Mike and Joe," noted Lorrie Norrington, HubSpot Board Member and Lead Independent Director of the investigation, in a statement.
The company has also sanctioned Brian Halligan, the company's Chairman and CEO, for having knowledge of Volpe and Chernov's actions and not reporting them in a timely manner. The Board concluded that Halligan was not involved in the breach of conduct and will remain with the company.
Radius, a predictive marketing software company, has expanded its marketing and sales executive team.
The four new members of the executive team are David Obrand, COO; Jerry Clarno, VP of Sales; Andrew Garvin, Senior VP of Strategy; and Angela Zener, Senior VP of Marketing.
Obrand was previously Chief Customer Officer at Yammer. He also served as CEO of Fuze, a creator of cloud-based communication technology. Obrand also spent a decade at Salesforce in senior sales roles.
Clarno brings more than 20 years of experience building and scaling sales teams, including stints at Box, SuccessFactors, OneLogin and FedEx.
Garvin come to Radius after working with Peter Thiel and Ajay Royan on the launch of Mithril, a growth stage venture fund with $540 million in assets under management.
Zener brings more than 15 years of experience in marketing and management consulting and has successfully taken many new enterprise software offerings to market.

Eloqua recently announced the appointment of new Chief Marketing Officer Heidi Melin, a marketing executive with experience leading some of Silicon Valley’s most respected technology brands. Melin, who has held CMO posts at Taleo, Polycom and Hyperion Solutions, will report directly to Eloqua CEO Joe Payne.
Melin has led marketing and demand generation efforts at several successful businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area. She comes to Eloqua from Taleo, which was recently acquired by Oracle Corporation, where she was CMO. Prior to Taleo, she served as CMO of Polycom Inc. Before joining Polycom, Melin was CMO at Hyperion Solutions Corp. (now Oracle Hyperion), where she led a brand strategy that led to renewed recognition within the business intelligence space. Prior to Hyperion Solutions, Melin led marketing services at PeopleSoft.
B2B research and advisory firm SiriusDecisions today reported the appointment of Steve Gershik as Vice President of Marketing. News of the company addition comes on the heels of after another year of record growth for the firm.
Gershik, an award-winning business marketer, will be assuming responsibility for SiriusDecisions' product marketing, demand generation and corporate communications functions, as well as overseeing marketing operations and driving corporate strategy.
