Marketo Promotes Group VP Of Marketing Pattabhiram Upon CMO Departure

Published: August 23, 2016

Marketo announced that its CMO, Sanjay Dholakia, has left the company. The company also said that Chandar Pattabhiram, the company’s Group VP of Marketing, will replace Dholakia as SVP and CMO. Pattabhiram will report to CEO Phil Fernandez and sit on Marketo’s executive staff.

The news comes a week after Vista Equity Partners finalized its deal to acquire Marketo for $1.79 billion.

Pattabhiram joined Marketo in 2014 from Badgeville, where he was responsible for worldwide marketing operations. Prior to Marketo, he held senior level positions at IBM Cast Iron and Andersen Consulting prior to its rebranding to Accenture.

“Over the past two years, we’ve worked closely together as he has enthusiastically led our company’s strategic product and corporate marketing initiatives, driving impact across the entire business,” said Fernandez of Pattabhiram in a statement. “I am confident in his ability to guide our marketing arm as Marketo continues to grow and scale.”
