Marketo Launches New Certification Program At Summit 2013

Marketo unveiled a new certification program at the 2013 Marketo User Summit this week to recognize expert users of the vendor’s marketing automation software.

According to company officials, key benefits of the new program for Marketo certified experts and users include:

  • Recognition among your community of peers in the Marketing Nation for expert of Marketo;
  • Personal brand affiliation with Marketo and marketing automation; and
  • Career advancement  and differentiation in a rapidly changing digital marketing world.

  • Talent development path for marketers using marketing automation to drive measurable results;
  • Improved new hire quality and speed to results by hiring Marketo certified members of the Marketing Nation; and

To become a Marketo Certified Expert, candidates are to complete a 90-minute exam based on a range of topics including lead management, asset design, programs and campaigns, and reporting. An outlining of recommended course of study is provided in preparation for the exam.

All those who pass the exam receive a logo that can be used on social profiles, business cards and will be granted access to an exclusive LinkedIn Group. In addition, the qualified candidate will receive recognition in the Marketo users community receive an electronically delivered certificate.

The certification is valid for one year and be renewed for continued participation in the community.

In other news from the summit, Birst, a provider of business intelligence and analytics solutions, announced a partnership with Marketo to boost its lead generation efforts.

By switching to Marketo, Birst has been able to “cut administration time in half using modern capabilities such as data field updates, auto responders, and real-time web site API integration,” according to Marketo officials.

“[The Marketo partnership] has allowed us to move more quickly and be more flexible than our previous platform,” said Wynn White, VP of marketing at Birst. “For example, it only took eight days to migrate off our original solution and less than fifteen to launch our first campaign.  For a fast-moving company like Birst, speed and agility is imperative and as a result, we have achieved better-than-expected results.”

In addition, Marketo’s intuitive analytics and reporting has enabled Birst’s marketing team to obtain marketing ROI analysis and closed-loop reporting within the Marketo platform.
