TrendSpottr, Salesforce.com Unveil Analytics Integration

TrendSpottr, a provider of predictive analytics services, announced a partnership with Salesforce.com.

According to TrendSpottr, its real-time predictive analytics will now be available through the Salesforce Marketing Cloud; customers will access their analytics through either the Radian6 or Salesforce Marketing Cloud Dashboard.

TrendSpottr allows sales and marketing professionals to identify top trending links, hashtags and users from customers’ topic profiles. It can also expand shortened links to reveal source domain and domain URLs, and it provides time-segmented analysis of top social media trends.

Eloqua Reports AppCloud Partner Growth

Marketing automation vendor Eloqua announced that 75 applications are now available through the company’s AppCloud marketplace. According to the company, the number of available apps for the AppCloud, which was launched in June, 2011, has doubled since last March.

According to Eloqua, two thirds of the company’s customers now use at least one AppCloud application.

Layoffs, Losses Announced At Radian6, Buddy Media

According to recent media reports, two key players in Salesforce.com’s Marketing Cloud strategy have encountered setbacks.  TechCrunch has reported that Radian6, which Salesforce.com acquired in 2010, is reported to be laying off “less than 100 people,” and a Radian6 spokesperson subsequently confirmed the layoffs.

In addition, Buddy Media, acquired earlier this year in a deal valued at nearly $690 million, recently amended its Securities and Exchange Commission 8K form to show $20 million in net losses for the first six months of 2012. Buddy Media did, however, report revenue of $18 million for the first half of 2012, compared to $10 million in the first half of 2011.
