Tact, an AI-powered CRM platform for sales representatives, has announced it closed a $15 million funding round led by Upfront Ventures, with participation from Microsoft Ventures. The company said it plans to use the funding to add new customers, expand its offices and finalize new patents.
The Tact platform was designed to provide sales representatives with an AI-powered smart assistant that automates administrative tasks and maintains a streamlined selling experience, the company said. It also gives salespeople a more conversational and unified way to interact on tools such as phone, email, LinkedIn and CRM through an app or SMS.
“The tremendous growth we’ve had this year puts the company in a position to pioneer a new, more natural way for sales teams to work,” said Chuck Ganapathi, Founder and CEO of Tact, in a statement. “What’s exciting to us is the shared vision we have with Upfront Ventures and Microsoft Ventures to use conversational platforms to change the human experience with enterprise software.”
The funding round also enabled the company to appoint its first Chief Revenue Officer, Trevor Rodrigues-Templar. He was previously Tact’s VP of Enterprise Sales.
