Madison Logic Acquired By Private Equity Firm Clarion Capital Partners

Published: December 1, 2016

Clarion Capital Partners, a NY-based private equity firm, announced that it has acquired account-based marketing and data management platform Madison Logic. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but a Fortune article tags the sale price at above $150 million since the company filed a Hart-Scott-Rodino notification. That filing is only required when a deal is more than $150 million.

The acquisition enables Madison Logic to continue developing products and expand its reach into new verticals and geographies, as well as make acquisitions, according to Clarion.

“It’s a great time to be a B2B marketer, but there are also significant challenges. This acquisition puts Madison Logic in a better position to help address those challenges,” said Tom O’Regan, CEO of Madison Logic, in an interview with Demand Gen Report. “With the resources this acquisition gives us, we’ll be able to double down on the technology that underlies Activate ABM, giving marketers even more insight into the accounts that matter most to them, and running the display and demand generation programs that can deliver real ROI.”

Clarion stated that existing Madison Logic shareholders will continue to help grow the business’ Activate ABM platform in partnership with Clarion. O’Regan will stay with the company and direct its long-term strategy, as well as manage day-to-day operations.
