IDG Communications, Inc., a technology media company, acquired KickFire, an IP address intelligence and first-party intent data provider, to strengthen its platform by enhancing the data surrounding customers, prospects and digital audiences.
KickFire’s cookie-less and privacy-compliant technology seeks to help B2B marketers de-anonymize website traffic and tap into first-party purchase intent data. This enables users to enhance their in-market buyer identification, remarketing, website personalization capabilities and digital marketing practices.
Prior to the acquisition, KickFire released SPARK, a free tool designed to send real-time alerts of companies showing interest on their website. That offering will complement IDG’s Popular Demand with Triblio, a new tool designed to help technology marketers simplify the ABM journey, that stemmed from IDG’s acquisition of the company.
“KickFire’s technology is already the industry standard used by most technology marketers, providing visibility into how audiences and technology buyers are researching products,” said Andre Yee, Chief Product Officer of IDG Communications, Inc., and Founder and CEO of Triblio, in a statement. “By joining forces with KickFire, we have created the most trusted buyer intent verification processes in the industry that will ultimately accelerate marketing performance for our customers.”
