Just one month removed from being a Titanium sponsor of Salesforce’s Dreamforce event, a check of the Salesforce AppExchange shows that Marketo‘s listing is no longer on the public portion of the site.
Several Marketo partners who did not want to be identified also confirmed that Marketo will not be invited to participate in Dreamforce next year.
A Salesforce spokesperson declined to comment on specific marketing or AppExchange arrangements with individual partners. “Salesforce is an open platform with public APIs that we support for all customers and partners,” the spokesperson noted in an email response to a request for comment from Demand Gen Report.
Marketo officials have not responded to several requests for comment.
A search of the phrase “marketing automation” produces listings from HubSpot, Silverpop, Act-On and other marketing automation vendors. Oracle Eloqua is also not publicly listed on the app exchange.
Salesforce has historically barred searchable AppExchange listings for companies that it considers competitors for its core offerings. For example, competing CRM vendors Oracle and SAP are not listed on the public portion of the site.
