Banzai International Acquires Act-On Software

Act-On Software Inc., one of the earliest players in enterprise marketing automation landscape, is being acquired by marketing and sales tech company Banzai International, Inc. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and an open data architecture, Act-On Software has focused on providing marketing software that makes teams more efficient and helps its clients, from Best Buy to Hitachi and Progressive Insurance, facilitate effective engagement across all communication channels. As a result, these companies have successfully improved lead generation, increased sales pipeline and increased return on marketing investment (ROMI).

With this acquisition, Banzai is expanding its suite of AI-powered marketing products so it can attract a broader set of customers while offering existing clients a more robust set of solutions. Joe Davy, Founder and CEO of Banzai, noted that Act-On provides solutions that fulfill the need for “efficient and agile marketing automation to achieve tangible business results.” He added that the company “complements our suite of tools for data-driven marketers” by empowering them to “think big and create smart, effective programs” that help them achieve their goals.

Act-On Software CEO Kate Johnson noted that the companies together will “drive the vision for AI-powered marketing. The future of marketing software is about making the marketer’s job easier through seamlessly integrated solutions powered by AI. Banzai’s product family of tightly integrated best of breed products, including webinar, video creation and now marketing automation, will help marketers engage customers and grow revenue in an AI empowered world.”
